This blog is about what I did to plan a weekend getaway to Ontario for the famous Niagara Falls from Vancouver. My main focus was on the weather hence I chose a sunny weekend. Sunny day suits you best for photography.
After almost two years of living in BC, I had to make this plan becauseā¦..why not?
ITINERARY
So my travel plan was to land in Toronto on Saturday and stay there for two nights. From the Pearson Airport, I headed straight towards Downtown Toronto where I met some of my friends. I loved the downtown of Toronto, especially the billboards on Yonge and Dundas Street, which gave NYC vibes. I had reserved a dorm bed in Samesun Hostel in advance but due to some changes in the plan I had to skip my stay at the hostel.
The next day I had a bus to catch for Niagara Falls leaving from the Union bus terminal downtown. I booked the bus ticket online in advance, you will see all the links for bookings and reservations in the next segment. It was a two hours journey with one stop on the way. The bus terminal in Niagara was around 4 km from Niagara Falls. You can take a bus or walk for 4 km along the Niagara River until you reach the waterfalls. It was sunny so I preferred walking. After reaching there, I got to know that Niagara Falls comprises a total of three waterfalls: American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Horseshoe Falls. From Niagara Falls, I went to Cliffton Hill to kill the hunger. Finally, boarded the bus back to Toronto.
The next day I had my return flight so before leaving for the airport, I decided to explore a few more spots Downtown like Harbourfront, CN tower, Roundhouse Park(Railway Museum), etc. I clicked some pictures and recorded video content for my GoPro as well.
